[Because you can apparently post a VOX post to LJ, but not vice-versa. Well, damn]

Phone interview with QUB Belfast on Friday!
Now let's see... 4pm GMT is 11am our time, right?
Suh-weet. (Funding this school is probably a dream, as I need to win a pretty rare ORSAS award, but I'm still looking forward to the interview.)
Gosh, though, it would be fun to go study zoo animals in the UK.

Well, it has been over 4 months since I have updated this blog. I keep forgetting it is here! I don't even know if anyone is reading this, so if you are please pipe up. Or not, whatever you want to do. :)
The past few months have been amazing for me. My 30th birthday was a whirlwind of spoilage from my husband, who surprised me more than I ever could have imagined. He had my dear friend and parents surprise me on my birthday, in Sonoma County at a winery. There is a huge Barrel Tasting event at multiple wineries in the Sonoma County region the weekend of my birthday. Long story short, James found the most romantic little place for us to stay, and planned every minute with the utmost care and love in his heart. I am still overwhelmed with the love and fun I experienced that weekend! What a way to enter my 3rd decade on this planet!
Now that spring is in full-flow and summer is just around the corner, spirits are up and motivation is high for me. Spring-cleaning has been my major priority and I have oodles of things to donate to the Salvation Army/whoever wants to take this junk off my hands! :) I don't understand how all this clutter accumulates without realizing it until it's overwhelming. The sun is doing us all good - getting us out of the house more, lifting our moods. I love the rainy weather but there's something about a sunny day that makes the heart smile just a tad bit more.
James and I have been taking every chance we can get to get to our favorite spots - Patrick's Point, Prairie Creek, Avenue of the Giants, even Samoa Beach. He works every other weekend so we make the most of the weekends he has off. The house gets a tad messy because I don't clean those weekends as much, but overall it's worth it.
2007 so far has been better than I expected. I am addicted to Tetris and the New Super Mario Bros. on my Nintendo DS. I also am currently indulging in a string of Steinbeck novels, because once I start I just want more of his stories.
That is about it for now. I am sure so much more has happened in the past several months, I saw Jackie Greene in concert for instance, and that was an unforgettable performance. He is a musical genius, and so young - so full of potential, I am looking forward to watch him grow. My sister graduated from University of Arizona and will be going off to South Africa for 3 months in September for a dance troupe she is joining! My brother is a certified EMT and just graduated Firefighter's School, I am so proud of him for following his dreams considering he had originally started off with a degree in Business. My sister in law got married to her boyfriend, on the fly - they eloped! We will be attending their "official" ceremony in April of 2008, in Indiana.
Life is good.
What was your favorite game to play at recess in grade school?
Submitted by Elisheva Chana.
You'll all laugh, but I hated going outside. The greatest thing for me was when I got to stay inside and play Oregon Trail. That was the greatest game known to man at the time and god, I can remember handling those huge floppies that were the size of your head. But, when I did go out, tag was always a great choice. I think we played Power Rangers a time or two as well.
Chris won a painting last week and we went up yesterday to get it. Really nice one it is too. It's called "The Rockvale Bridge" by George Losch. We have to get it framed yet, but we'll do that later when it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg.
Meh. I must clean today.
What's your favorite blend or brand of coffee or tea?
I don't really drink that much tea, but I really do like Starbucks coffee. Barring that, I'm an uncultured swine and when I'm at home by myself it's good old Folgers.
It's been forever and a day since I touched this last. I feel kind of dirty thinking about it. It just goes to show how sad I am and how many forgotton blogs that I have.
The most interesting thing that's happened to me in the last four months? My husband bought me a DVD drive and my collection has swelled by almost a hundred new movies/tv shows. I am a sad, sad woman.
I uploaded a bunch of video of the animals to youtube. some of it is also here on vox; much is not.
