I went to Dick's (insert pre-teen giggle) with my mom and sister this afternoon. Chrissy needed a helmet for her melon and I needed a new pair of Croc's. Chrissy walked out with a "super cool" Tony Hawk helmet:
and I walked out with these:
The beach style (the green I picked out [read: only shoe they had in my size] is lighter).
And I couldn't pass up the Mary Janes (mine are HOT pink, though I do like the regular pink). I think I got them a size too small... we'll see.
I don't care what anybody says... Croc's are super comfy and adorable (and a little dorky, too). Well, now I have to catch up on some reading. Only 6 more days of the semester left!!
First things first, how about some adorable kitty pictures? First, we have Auggie and Dinah taking a nap on my taco chair. Next is Dinah on the kitchen counter. And lastly there's Harpo being crazy in the kitty thing my mom got from the SPCA.
Yesterday was my brother's girlfriend's birthday but we celebrated at Lucatelli's on Sunday evening. Delicious food and good company. Chrissy and I bought her gifts at Wegmans--cheese, crackers, a bar of Chinese rose soap, and a French vanilla candle shaped like a cup of coffee with coffee beans in the candle. It was a lovely dinner but the dessert kinda sucked, so Chrissy and I went to Friendly's for some milk shakes. Deeeee-lish.On Saturday I hung out at my brother's apartment. It was pretty much a marathon session of watching TLC and old Nickelodeon game shows. He has an adorable kitty named Razor who was very intrigued by my purse.
Before we went to Wegmans, Chrissy and I decided to see if the mall was open. It wasn't. Buuut there was an underground door in the middle of the deserted Target parking lot that we had to check out. A footnote to the end of the video, Chrissy is terrified of drive-by shootings for some odd reason.
Video of Chrissy being a piggy and finishing off the milkshakes.
My sister. She'll wear a Tinkerbell backpack with wings and pose in the middle of Target. Awesome.
The fairy-man statue on the Commons; Chrissy and I making that pouty face that every girl on facebook makes; and the green, green grass I have missed so much.
I went to the Chili Festival yesterday afternoon with Chrissy and her boyfriend, Adam. Ran into an old co-worker from the South Asia Program who bought tickets for us which was so nice of her (the ticket line was ridiculously LONG!) Tried some veggie chilis. The best was definitely the Statler's. Had lunch at Ragmann's. And Chrissy bought a 1970's snowsuit from the vintage shop (I got a book from 1956 called The Highest Dream by Phyllis A. Whitney... I paid a dollar but then I found a dollar in the parking garage, so it feels like I got it for free).
Today is my brother's 37th birthday. To celebrate we went out to dinner both last night and tonight. Tonight's dinner was pretty fun... Lucatelli's (the best Italian place in Ithaca) is super relaxed and the entire staff knows us. So, after the wine was done and the after dinner drinks started coming, I broke out the camera for some camera fun. Here's the result:
To the right, that's my sister flicking off my brother and then attempting to cup Frank's balls.
The group shot taken by the fabulous Carmin. Me, brother, my brother's girlfriend Melissa, and Chrissy.
My brother managed to throw his chicken parm covered knife on himself and Melissa had to clean him with flat club soda. And during the little photoshoot I tried to get a serious picture out of them but it was impossible.
Lunch at Ragmann's. The Lite Bite: half a tuna salad sandwich with a side salad with ranch, chips (me) and coleslaw (Chrissy), and the best rootbeer ever, Saranac (SO creamy!)
The only Starbucks in Ithaca. I actually felt really guilty for going there this afternoon but Juna's was super busy and we were short on time.
Those elevators in the downtown parking garage are so gross. Chrissy holds her breath when we ride in them.
The house that Chrissy's co-worker rents. He's moving in August and Chrissy's trying to convince my mom and I that it's the perfect place to live. Weeeeeeee'll see.
Chrissy had me do her makeup since it's her last night at work before she leaves for winter break in Florida.
