That's Auggie (or Auggila as I like to call her) under the table, Harpo gazing out my window, and Dinah sticking her hand in the water as she drinks. It might be hard to tell from this angle, but she's not actually lapping the water off her paw, just holding it in the water. Yup.
The goldfish plant is blooming! That is the coolest thing ever.
It has been ridiculously nice the past week. A little chilly at night (we've had a couple frosts, unfortunately) but sunny and breezy during the day. So, I started my garden. I planted: [photos 1 and 2] some flowers in a hanging basket and pots for the front porch (don't ask me what kind they are, I just look at colors... and, frankly, I don't really like flowers outside because they attract bees and bees scare the hell out of me); [photo 3] broccoli and catnip (the catnip really didn't like the frosts); [photo 4] two different kinds of basil, two different kinds of lavender, and the chives sprouted on their own this year--yay!; [photo 5] lots of romaine lettuce; [photo 6] a rose bush that was initially used as a scratching post by the kitties but is actually starting to grow a little bit; [photo 7] blueberries, rasberries, and strawberries; [photo 8] a big tomato plant that didn't enjoy last night's frost; [photo 9] asparagus that I'm hoping will take; [photo 10] pear tomatoes that are supposed to grow like weeds; [photo 11] venus fly traps; [photo 12] more random flowers in a hanging basket; [photo 13] a hanging basket full of rosemary, dill, and thyme; and [photo 14] some left over flowers that my mom planted in the backyard... I also threw some wildflower seeds in that area. The only other thing I want to plant is some potatoes (I love that you can grow them in a garbage bag!) I can't wait til everything really starts growing!
